Norman M. Davis
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.”
Norman Michael Davis was born in Reevesville South Carolina on December 23, 1959. He departed this life on January 25, 2017 at 10:20 am, at Providence Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Washington.
As a young child Norman with his family, moved to Brooklyn New York and was educated in the New York City Public School system. Norman was inquisitive by nature, always seeking facts, information or knowledge about the world in which he lived in. With this curious by nature personality, he was drawn to reside in various locations such as, Atlanta Georgia, Alaska than settling in Seattle Washington for nearly twenty years. There were two things Norman loved the most, one was good conversation and the other was cooking. He understood people and food were two great recipes he enjoyed most.
As a Professional chef by trade, Norman had a recipe that could not be match. He mixed love, kindness, interesting conversations and a listening ear into a bowl and shared this recipe with those he loved and loved him. We have many memorable moments with our beloved brother and friend. One favorable memory shared by his oldest sister Frankie L. Davis. She recalls the time when she was in a love crisis and Norman stayed up all night listening, crying and talking with her. He said” I’m not a fighter but I can listen.” He had a heart of gold!
Norman leaves to his memory : two brothers, Jerome Benjamin (Camden NJ), Tony Davis (Brooklyn NY), Two sisters, Frankie L. Davis( Tampa FL) and Sheena Davis (Columbus OH), two nieces, Lacinda Benjamin and Diamond Davis, Three nephews, Doron Davis, Bill and Bob Williams.
The Soul departed in the Lord does not die, it returns to God, who is the Giver of Life.
Now that you’re gone to be with Mom, may she receive you in her loving arms.
Lovingly Submitted,
