Tyler Alan Barton

Tyler Alan Barton, October 29, 1990 – February 17, 2017

Tyler Alan Barton was born in Santa Clara, California, on October 29, 1990, to Marda and Brent Barton. Tyler grew up and resided in Bellevue, Washington. He passed away on February 17, 2017, at Harborview Medical Center due to injuries sustained from a car accident. Tyler attended Interlake High School and graduated from Bellevue College with an associate degree. He also attended Washington State University, where he studied computer science. Tyler was sensitive, brilliant and talented. He was a self-taught musician who composed music and played several instruments including the cello, piano, guitar and electric keyboard. Tyler was also an accomplished graphic designer and did the graphic illustrations in two technology-related books. He was an avid reader and researcher and had a special place in his heart for animals.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Marda Valjean Barton; father, Brent Alan Barton; twin sisters Jessica Pino Mardini and Jovan Pino Wiegand; his brothers-in-law Mohammed Mardini and Matthew Wiegand; his nephew, Farouk Mardini; and numerous relatives in both Washington and California. Tyler was a unique and creative spirit who left this world way too soon. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the wonderful staff of doctors and nurses at Harborview Medical Center for the excellent care and compassion they gave Tyler while he was there. Tyler was able to donate his heart, lungs and many other organs so others can live. Private services will be held. Donations in Tyler’s name can be made to the King County Humane Society or any animal shelter of one’s choice.
