David C. Ashley, born December 17, 1971 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, January 27th in Bellevue, Washington. David was a selfless and sensitive man who brought laughter to everyone he met. He was a talented musician and song writer, a loving father and step-father, and an amazingly caring fiancé. David was artistic, handy, and had a great thirst for knowledge, but what he loved most was spending time with those he loved.
David is preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Bertie King, a cousin Jeremy Blair, and an Uncle Jim Brady. He leaves behind his mother Margaret (Peggy) Ashley, his fiancé Erica Hodge, her children Kaitlyn, Marvin, and Dylan, his two daughters, Kenedi and Cheyenne, his brother Robert Ashley and sister-in-law Debbie, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, cousin and friends.
There are no words that can express how much David will be missed, how deeply he is loved and how profoundly his absence will be felt.
“I can say with some confidence; the meaning of life is the choice each of us makes to bring meaning to the life we have.” – David Ashley 5/22/12
